Environment:Start Time: 6:55 PM Temperature: 62 degrees Sky: Sunshine, clouds with light breeze An ugly morning led to a late afternoon outing at Lake Pueblo State Park. Though the bird activity was less than frantic I managed to get the best look at the little Great Horned Owlet so far – today’s featured image. I think he is outgrowing the nest. Environment:Start Time: 10:25 AM Temperature: 58 degrees Sky: Mix of Sun and clouds, light breeze Spring-like weather is persisting and will so for most of the week ahead. Local weather forecasters are promising us a snowy Saturday. Not at all unusual weather for March in Southeastern Colorado. Birds are still playing hard to get but activity is picking up. After taking a look out of my kitchen window around 7:45 PM and seeing a sky with tremendous potential to deliver some dramatic scenic vistas, I grabbed my camera (and Whisper) and we made a beeline for Lake Pueblo State Park.
