Environment:Start Time: 3:20 PM Temperature: 51 degrees Sky: Cloud filtered sunshine. Mornings remain quite chilly so I’m sticking to later afternoon walks. Not to say that these afternoons are wildly toasty. When I walk in the mornings I often start out dressed warmly and end my walk quite overheated. Now days I start out dressed lightly and as the Sun sinks I get less and less comfortable. Other than that ,things are not changing much day to day. There was a bit of bird activity today but not as much cooperation. I had a good chance to get a smallish Cooper’s Hawk but rather than just take the shot I had – I tried to make a camera setting change which, apparently, was the same idea my intended subject had because he decided to change where he was setting and flew away. Since the bird population has been down of late leaving the options to ducks or juncos I decided to concentrate on ducks this morning. Environment:Start Time: 3:05 PM Temperature: 51 degrees Sky: Sunny, no clouds, light breeze Finally suitable weather has returned. It took until late afternoon for the sun and temperature to team up to make for decent walking. Not much going on bird-wise. The fishing pond was frozen over which means my Western Grebe buddy has probably headed South. There were a couple of Starlings still hanging around but they really looked beat up.
