Lumix GX-85 Extended Tele Conversion

One of the “bonus features” available on the Panasonic Lumix GX-85 (and probably on many other Panasonic mirrorless cameras) is the ability to digitally “extend” the focal length of the lens in use to allow for greater magnification of your subject with out a huge loss of detail. Finally got out for a morning walk. Arriving at around 9:30 AM we got right on the trail. Not many people fishing today either in the fishing pond or the Arkansas river. No birds fishing either. I did manage to spot three Great Blue Heron’s sunning themselves in a bare tree on the south side of the river. Once again the cooler spring weather kept Whisper and I indoors until evening. We made it to our usual walking venue parking at the Anticline Fishing Pond around 5:30 PM giving me about an hour and a half of shooting light. Our walk was basically just that, a walk, since no birds or critters offered themselves as photographic fodder. There were some sightings.
