Despite excellent conditions non of my bird buddies had the time to pause (or fly close enough) to be photographed. In fact, I only took one picture today (right) which occurred by accident as I fell down on the unpaved trail. I broke my fall with my left knee, left elbow and camera. Everything seems to have survived the event but it kind of killed my creativity for the day. Today’s featured image is a Snowy Egret that I shot Sunday (8/10/22) at Belmar Park in Lakewood, Colorado….

I arrived early enough to avoid a lot of people but apparently also early enough to avoid the birds. Not much activity – even at any of the nests.
