Environment:Start Time: 6:00 AM Temperature: 46 degrees Sky: Cloud/haze filtered sunshine. The strong winds we have been experiencing over the past couple of days managed to subside a little – at least for the early morning. The Rock Canyon area does not appear to be worse for wear since I didn’t see any new fallen trees. As far as nests go – things are really quiet. There was no activity at either the Cooper’s Hawk nest or the Red-tailed Hawk nest. I was only able to locate one of the three baby Great Horned Owls at that nest. Mom was…

Environment:Start Time: 8:10 AM Temperature: 62 degrees Sky: Sunny, Light Wildfire Haze, Intermittent Breeze Another excellent morning to be out in nature. The wildfire haze was still present but to a much lesser extent. I was actually able to make out Pikes Peak from Reservoir Road as I entered Lake Pueblo State Park. Environment:Start Time: 7:05 AM Temperature: 52 degrees Sky: Sunny and blue, light breeze New Bird Identified and an Old Bird Correctly Identified Spectacular light and just a hint of an Autumn chill made for another great walk at the park. There was quite a bit of feathered activity though the real action was occurring mostly in the shadows. Nevertheless I came out with a number of images worth sharing.
