Warmth continues this morning – 65 degrees with less humidity than yesterday. Once again the eastern horizon had fairly heavy clouds. The difference today was that the clouds at least had some definition and a few of them might even have been referred to as “fluffy”. Still the light was not great at 6:15 when we did the first leg of the day’s hike. Probably shouldn’t label it the “first” leg since it turned out to be the only leg. One Dominates the Other

Colorado has many well known landmarks. There are many more not as well known but equally magnificent. Some of them are natural wonders and others are man made. I will try to highlight those lesser treasures on this page. The iconic image of Colorado is Pikes Peak. Above is a view of the peak seen from in front of the dam at Lake Pueblo on an early Spring morning. There is still snow on the peak while the short grass prairie is beginning to go green.
