Early October Scenic showcases Autums arrival at Lake Pueblo State Park, Colorado

My original plan was to sit out the walk today due to forecasts of high wind. When I finally looked out my window this morning I “saw” no wind – just a beautiful day made for walking by the river. So that’s what I did. It was kind of quiet out there with not a whole lot of activity (except fishermen) at all. The only bird images I got were a bunch of an Osprey perched high above the Arkansas River munching on a fish. This Osprey and I seem to have our schedules in sync. The bird posted as today’s featured image may be the same one I shot yesterday but that is definitely a different fish. Other than that I tried a few “Autumn Color” shots even though I was toting a 300 MM lens. Occasionally I try to get artistic and I have posted such an attempt below.

Sightings:
Birds: California Gull, Starlings, Mallard Ducks, Osprey, Robins, Belted Kingfisher, Great Blue Heron, Cormorant
Critters: Mule Deer, Squirrel

Gear: Lumix GX-85, 100-300 mm
