Environment:

Record temperatures predicted for today got me out good and early this morning. I think the birds were sleeping in, though. One Osprey was fishing on the Arkansas River – today’s featured image. I saw one unsuccessful strike and then he flew off. My best capture of the day is posted below – a Mississippi Kite in flight. Unfortunately he had his back to the Sun so the lighting is not the best. My other capture is a Great Blue Heron who was perched very high up in a tree. I guess he had a good view of the river from there.
