Environment:
Start Time: 6:50 AM Temperature: 60 degrees Sky: Wildfire haze muted sunshine. No breeze.
Another early start and another pretty successful day despite the heavy wildfire haze that made things look nearly overcast without a cloud in the sky. Another insect shot for the featured image. This one is a Common Tan Wave Moth resting on a Western Snowberry plant. The big score of the day came with the discovery of two young owls perched way off the trail. They were tucked deep into the branches of a dead tree which made getting a clear shot of both pretty near impossible. So I have one group shot and one single portrait. There is a mini-gallery below of some of the other captures for the day.
