Sunshine was the order of the day this morning. The park was illuminated with some of the best quality light I’ve seen for at least a couple of weeks. Judging by the condition of the fish seen in today’s featured image (above) with the Osprey I didn’t miss the fishing action by much. Missed it I did. There were a lot of Osprey flying around and I did see one take a stab at the river with no luck. I caught another Blue Grosbeak checking out the foliage as well as a Viceroy Butterfly who absolutely refused to open his wings. I did go back to the owl nest that I discovered yesterday and got another shot of two owls standing in nearly the same positions as they were yesterday. The difference between today’s photo and yesterday’s is not perceptible. Check out yesterday’s post to have a look at them. Below I have posted a Cormorant taking his leave from the Arkansas River. It seems like the Cormorants always have someplace else to go whenever I arrive on the river bank.
