What today’s post lacks in variety is made up for (in my opinion) in WOW. I finally managed to bumble onto a Peregrine Falcon. I spotted it perched way up in a treetop positioned between the Sun and myself. I took the shot seen here (heroically edited) and then tried to move around to its “Sunny Side” – but, before I could, it took off allowing me to shoot today’s featured image. These guys are pretty rare at Lake Pueblo State Park and this was a real treat. I’ll finish off this post with a couple of Osprey shots – either of which could have made the featured slot if the falcon hadn’t upstaged them.
