There were quite a few human fishermen out on the Arkansas River this morning but not so many of the feathered variety. Today’s featured image is a Double Crested Cormorant who, having just lifted off the river, is flying low above the surface. My other capture for the day is the Osprey at post bottom. I had followed this bird up river from tree to tree. I thought he was going to try for a fish but that thought did not seem to occur to this young fisherman.

Critters: Cabbage White Butterflies, Prairie Dogs,millions of flying bugs
