Even though the Osprey smashed into the Anticline Fishing Pond spectacularly came up with nothing but a soggy exterior – it did succeed in grabbing today’s featured image prize. This same bird had better luck on a subsequent dive as you can see in today’s Instagram post. The Osprey pictured here seemed to be losing interest in its catch. The surprise of the day was the Coyote that I saw by chance – picture below. I have to close things out today with a Snowy Egret who was wading around the Arkansas River all alone. I normally see them here in pairs but there must have been a spat.
