I’m not sure why the birds are not out enjoying it but I managed to come home with some (not sexy) postables anyway. The featured image is another Gadwall Duck enjoying the Arkansas River. I saw Starlings, Sharp-shinned Hawks and Osprey all working on their nests. Of these the most interesting were the Osprey. Their nests are built entirely of sticks and can be quite elaborate. I had always wondered where they got these sticks as I have never seen an Osprey bouncing around on the ground looking for them nor have I ever seen one carrying branches in their mouths like other birds do.
