Environment:Start Time: 7:25 AM Temperature: 62 degrees Sky: Sunshine. After yesterday’s surprise appearance by the Peregrine Falcon we were back to the usual suspects this morning. Things were really low key out on the trail – even the Osprey were just sort of hanging around but in a noisy fashion. Caught a family of Wild Turkeys (minus dad) out on the prairie. They must live nearby because I have seen what are probably the same birds on my last two outings. Speaking of the same birds, the bottom of today’s post is my sleepy owl subject. Environment:Start Time: 6:55 AM Temperature: 59 degrees Sky: Cloud filtered sunshine. Kind of a ho-hum day out on the trail. If I wanted to shoot Starlings and Morning Doves this would have been a wildly successful day. The high point of the walk was spotting the Wild Turkey (below) way off in the distance and I’m glad I took the shot so I had something to post. Environment:Start Time: 7:30 AM Temperature: 44 degrees Sky: Sunshine high clouds with light breeze Back again on the morning tour. Lots of activity and chatter. I did manage to get shots of a couple of the smaller more active warm-season park residents – they are posted below. For today’s featured image I have a Canada Goose who was quietly floating in the Anticline Fishing Pond. I think I caught a quick glimpse of an Oriole as…
